A postcard to Europe needs a stamp of 6,50 DH. You receive stamps at the post or at kiosks (which sell postcards).  It is better to get stamps at the kiosk in spite of standing in line at the post. 
If you'd like to send a originell greeting from Morocco to a friend- send a telegramm. Some sentences costs 20-50 DH.

Telephone

In the numerous teleboutiques you can telephone with phonecards or coins. The teleboutiques you find everywhere and in each little village. It is mostly a chance if the apparats count correctly the units. You do not receive your change.

The prefix for Germany is 0049, for France 00 33 and for Great Britain 00??. You leave out the first 0 of the postal code, and dial your number.

Am günstigsten ins Ausland können Sie über das Internet telefonieren. Sie erreichen damit etwa die Qualität wie mit einem Handy.
Dazu brauchen Sie nur einen PC mit Internetanschluss, ein Headset oder Lautsprecher mit Mikrophon.
Auf der Homepage von Hot Telephone ( www.hottelephone.com ) ist lediglich eine kurze Registrierung nötig und sofort kann man loslegen.

Sie können Ihr Handy (D1 oder D2) hier auch benutzen. Das Marokkanische Netz ist sehr gut abgedeckt. Die Telefongebühren mit Ihrer Deutschen Karte sind entsprechend hoch. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt empfehle ich eine "Free and Easy Karte" (Jawal) zu kaufen. Diese kostet ca. 72 DM. Nachdem Sie das Gesprächsguthaben abtelefoniert haben können Sie die Karte an vielen Kiosken wieder aufladen lassen. Natürlich bekommen Sie eine eigene Telefonnummer.
Die erstmalige Einrichtung machen Sie bei der hiesigen "Maroc Telecom" (IAM = Itissalat Al-Maghrib). Diese befindet sich neben der Hauptpost.

Internet

Internetcafes schießen momentan wie Pilze aus dem Boden. Sie können dort sehr Preisgünstig ab 8 DH die Stunde (0,80€) surfen. Der Boom lässt aber langsam nach. Die meisten Internetcafes sind relativ ungemütlich und verraucht. 
Leider ist der marokkanische Provider (IAM) nicht sehr zuverlässig und man hat teilweise sehr lange Wartezeiten oder es funktioniert gar nichts. So wie unsere Telekom vor fünf Jahren war.
